Taxable Seksomnia, Sex On But the Sleeping Conditions
Lancashire, England, There are several disorders that occur during sleep, one of them is asleep but without consciously having sex. As Stephen Davis who had experienced sexsomnia disorders (sleep but while making love) for 5 years.
Stephen (27 years) has seksomnia for 5 years, he did it with his partner Kelly Rampling (27 years). The experts expressed seksomnia is someone who often have no memory of what he had done. Currently they have a son named Harrison (2 years).
"I began to see sex in the middle of the night is very different to how we make love in another time, no kissing, no foreplay. He just did and then say thank you," Kelly said, as quoted by The Sun, Monday (20/2/2012).
Kelly said he tried to talk to Stephen when having sex, her eyes were open but empty eyes stare and no response at all. Kelly even said he like having sex with a zombie.
"When I realized that Stephen had sex in her sleep. Was 5 years ago and although we still have a healthy sex life, we had sex 4-5 times a week, he still suffered from sexsomnia," said Kelly.
Her condition was enough to make Kelly feel disturbed and wearisome, shameful even compared with medical conditions. Kelly sometimes wake up at night and found himself lying on top of Stephen.
"Usually when I do, I'll get grumpy Kelly's face when you wake up in the morning. I never woke up in the middle of sleep, to be honest I was very embarrassed by this fact," said Stephen.
Stephen said his friends thought he was greedy and laugh when they hear this, but Stephen felt it was not a funny thing when someone is experiencing the same thing.
"Five years is a long time for Kelly and Stehphen in the face of sexsomnia, but fortunately they have good communication. Because of these conditions can interfere with the relationship," says Dr Pam Spurr, relationship expert.
Dr Spurr said the issue of sex is sometimes difficult to discuss because not all people want are open about their sexual disorders. This condition could destroy the relationship.
Sexsomnia is a common behavior that includes self-enjoyment, clinical psychological approaches such as stress therapy can help and regular sleep patterns can alleviate the problem.
Researchers from Canada found one of the 12 people admitted to being involved or initiate sexual activity during sleep. The best treatment is to get advice from an expert in sleep medicine.
Just as sleep disorders in general, seksomnia also accompanied by symptoms such as anxiety, insomnia, and depression. The reason could be due to the consumption of alcohol, use illegal drugs, insomnia, and caffeine.
This condition is more often experienced by men, ie 11 percent of men and in women, only 4 percent. Overall, sexsomnia disorder experienced by 7.6 per cent of patients.
